We had such a great time in the Dominican Republic, there's just something about going back to my country that fills my heart with joy :) We loved spending time with family, eating yummy food, going to the beach, visiting places, having quiet times with God, reading, relaxing, and just having fun. But now we're back to Trinity and back to work. Tim and I started classes last week, we're back to studying and learning. This semester Tim is taking Elementary Hebrew, Greek Exegesis, Educational Ministries of the Church, and Christian Ethics (12 credits total); I'm taking Introduction to New Testament, World Religions, and Christian Ethics (10 credits total).
Today Tim and I started our official part-time job as youth/ worship pastors at Northwest Family Church. Tim led worship for both services, and we had a meeting with some youth leaders after the 2nd service. We are really excited for this new opportunity to serve, and we're thankful for God's guidance and provision during this whole process. Today was the first day of trying out 2 services (9 & 10:30A), this means that our Sundays now start at 6A since Tim needs to be there at 7A and we only have one car. Why do we need to be there 2 hours before the service starts? Glad you asked. It's because our church meets in a theater, and we need to set up every week (we're so blessed to have many volunteers who help out every week). So while Tim sets up, I go over to Starbucks and do my devotions; this works out perfectly.

Another new beginning for this year is our bible reading plan. We are trying out the M'Cheyne family bible reading plan for a year. In this plan Tim and I will be reading individually 3 chapters a day from 3 different books and then 1 chapter together from a different book; if you're interested, here's the link: http://hippocampusextensions.com/mcheyneplan/
